The Role

  • Embrace our “community as method” model to work not only with the service users but  their families and wider surrounding networks to ensure that everyone is equipped with the tools, knowledge and approaches, all essential to a long-term recovery
  • Deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialised interventions as per the Therapeutic Community manual and service needs
  • Champion an environment and a culture that, as well as being safe and compliant, truly fosters compassion and development.

There is an opportunity to work on various shift patterns involving days, evenings, nights and weekend work.

About You

To be considered as our Sessional Worker, you will need:

  • To be interested in working with individuals with complex and unique needs
  • Prior involvement in collaborating with families and individuals in the realm of substance use or relevant domains
  • Aptitude for creative thinking and adaptability to accommodate the evolving requirements of the service
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly with multiple agencies, while upholding the service's esteemed standing
  • Good working knowledge of adult protection and safeguarding, as the role entails working with vulnerable women in a residential environment

Other organisations may call this role Recovery Worker, Recovery Co-ordinator, or Support Worker.

We are now looking for an passionate Sessional  Worker to join our brand new Trauma Responsive Women’s Therapeutic Community Residence on a Full or part time basis.

This role will be working in a women’s-only residential service specialising in providing safe therapeutic environments for those who have experienced multiple disadvantage and those who have experienced past trauma. Therefore there is an Operational Requirement for this role to be fulfilled by a female (determined compliant under ACAS guidelines for recruiting applicants with a protected characteristic to do a certain job).
