Are you passionate about seeing and supporting people to succeed in achieving their individual goals? Are you passionate about our environment and sustainability?

If so, we have a number of great opportunities available across the Derbyshire county to volunteer in our Recovery Through Nature (RTN) programme.

Our Recovery through Nature programme is a highly effective therapeutic programme that engages teams of people who use our services in a range of practical conservation and horticultural projects to aid their recovery. Recovery through Nature’s strength lies in its capacity to enhance participants' belief in their ability to change, supporting their self-esteem, confidence, and mental well-being.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who can offer a supportive approach to recovery for people with long-term addiction problems and can passionately promote the benefits of engaging with this programme and understands the value of a therapeutic community environment. We use nature and conservation as a catalyst to recovery and we would like someone that will support people with some of the projects we are involved with such as Growing giant sequoia trees, water harvesting, habitat building and much more to promote and encourage individual development at all levels of ability to promote a person-centred tangible learning experience and the best possible outcomes for those attending the project . This volunteer post will involve supporting the RTN lead to develop the project further and contribute to the 12 month development plan. You will support and lead on project planning of the sites. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good engagement skills, positive attitude, with a can-do approach and to be able to communicate well and can work as part of a team.

Volunteering days/times and your preferred location can be discussed at interview and are available 9am-5pm within our Monday-Friday service hours.
